It is an online collection of full-motion videos (slides synchronized with audio) derived from oral presentations delivered at an ACS national meeting, along with PDF versions of poster presentations. They are available 24 x 7 on your PC or Mac, or your iPhone®, iPad® or Android™ mobile device. Note: Poster presentations are not currently available for viewing with mobile devices.

Beginning with the Philadelphia meeting (August 2012), ACS will apply access controls to meeting content. Every ACS member who registers for the national meeting will have free access to Presentations on Demand for that meeting. ACS members who did not register for the meeting will be charged $50 for access to Presentations on Demand for that meeting. Additional pricing: Non-members who registered for the meeting will be charged $100, and non-members who did not register the meeting must pay $200 to access Presentations on Demand for that meeting.

Content from the San Diego meeting (March 2012) is available without access control (login) and charge until April 2013, when it will be removed from view.

Yes. To view the presentations, click on "Meetings" from the main menu, select the meeting whose presentations you want to view, and then select your "Track" from the list. You can browse through the tracks, sessions or presentations for content, or use the search function. You will be able to read the presentation abstract before you are asked to log in and/or purchase access-controlled content.

Not all of the presenters have allowed their presentations to be captured for this product. If you have searched and cannot find a presentation, the presenter may not have provided viewing rights.

With respect to the Philadelphia National Meeting, ACS will release the collection of content on or before September 14, 2012. Access controls will remain in place until September 14, 2013, after which the content will be made freely available until March 14, 2014, when it will be removed from view.

Content from the San Diego meeting (March 2012) is available without charge until April 2013 when it will be removed from view.

Astute Technology is the partner that ACS selected to make oral and poster presentations from ACS meetings available to members and customers through the web and mobile devices.

You can view content descriptions and abstracts, and search meeting programs without logging in. For meetings with access controls in place, you must log in with your ACS ID and, depending on your ACS member status and meeting attendance, may be required to pay to view the meeting's full-motion videos and poster presentations. Currently, full-motion video from the San Diego meeting may be viewed without login and payment.

To view or purchase Philadelphia meeting presentations through Presentations in Demand, you must have an ACS ID. You must log in with your ACS ID each time you return to view Philadelphia meeting presentations as long as access controls are in place.

Use our Forgot User Name/Password tool and enter the email address you used to register.

Registering is easy. Select your user name and password, provide your ACS member number (if applicable), and complete the required information.

Use our online lookup tool to find your member number. You can also find your member number on your membership card and on the mailing label of your copy of C&EN. It is either the first seven or first eight numbers on your mailing label. The following information helps to determine your membership number:

Seven or eight digits followed by a space and several more digits.
Example: 1234567 432.
In this case, enter only the first 7 or 8-digits.
Example: 1234567.

This message means there is an existing account that uses the member number you entered. We permit only one account per member number. We can send you your user name and a new password to access the existing account. Go to Forgot User Name or Password, and enter the email address you used to register.
